So as you know I collect and keep magazine pages by the bundle, and thought I would actually try out some of the things from the pages that I keep. My first trial is Fairy bread, usually seen served at children’s parties in New Zealand and Australia. It was featured in the last issue of Oh Comely magazine, and what a success! Cheap pretty and super tasty, I can hardly believe I had never seen it before, the taste took me back to being a child when my naughty Grandma would make me brown sugar sandwiches, no wonder I had so many fillings, and have such a sweet tooth now!A mango, pineapple and coconut smoothie followed the Fairy bread, then later on I finished the spare room clean up, and started making a spring wreath, all in all Tuesday was a good day, not so much for the diet but my camera is happy again. The recipe for Fairy bread is so simple, all you need is a white sliced loaf, spreadable butter, and a jar of sprinkles, I also used some sugar crystals and a dash of edible glitter on mine as my cake decorating supplies are out of control. I am so excited about this simple idea and can’t wait to surprise my friends with some heart shaped fairy bread. Glittering white sliced is not really the best reason for starting a family, and the cats clearly have no interest in all my sprinkle fun making, so it looks I will have to borrow some children for a party!
