Day 4. The lace one, eleven small samples from my collection of vintage lace adorn the tea dyed pages of a tiny concertina style book, each sample is numbered and stitched to the paper. The outside and drawer of the box are painted to look slightly aged, topped with brown card, a gilt edged vintage label from an old NYC lace sellers sample book, a small scrap of lace and a shabby pink ribbon. This has been the most fun to make so far, a life long obsession with eras past and saving beautiful things from disappearing altogether from out planet, made me want to compile this tiny archive inside a matchbox. It’s listed over at Etsy now x

My fave so far – beautiful! Looking forward to the Japanese and the travelling circus ones the most..
Is it a little mad to go out and buy full boxes of matches and then emptying then to make things? Hmm and is it cheating to only make 4 and not 31?
