Hello, how was your weekend? DIY for us, the floor is still up in our office/guest room and progress has been slowed while a damaged joist gets replaced. So I am still looking at options for guest beds. This room will most likely be the prettiest in the house – as most of our house guests are female and my husband doesn’t have to wake up in there! We have a wooden bed in our room but I was thinking along the lines of a pale metal bedstead in this room to keep the feel light.I love the idea of a daybed all piled up with handmade cushions in vintage fabrics, and I found this pretty cream Versailles daybed that looks great as a sofa and has a second roll away bed underneath so we can happily sleep two guests and it saves space while we are in studio work mode. This classic french style Loire frame is light coloured and with it’s simple straight upright head and foot ends, it would take up way less space then the sleigh bed we used to have. I would love to spray paint it in a lovely peachy blush pink or soft turquoise blue like the top picture! For a more masculine boutique hotel style option I like this Miami Wooden bed with upholstered headboard, it would look good with dark or pale linens piled high for a luxe weekend away feel. I have so many ideas, but I think I am leaning towards the space saving options that would come with a day or sofa bed most, any other ideas?
