Picture this, a room filled with antique beds, swathed in blossom twigs and a ton of beautiful flowers. The styling was fit for a princess at the preview for Horrockses new bedding range, and I was lucky enough to attend.
Each one of the twelve sets is inspired by a different Horrockses dress design from the late 40’s and 50’s. Beautiful floral patterns in bright colours have been selected from the vast archive of original dresses that would have been worn by royalty, celebrities and everyday girls who were loyal fans of this sought after fashion brand which was launched in 1946 by Horrockses a company established long before in 1791.Any of the designs can be accompanied by crisp white sheet and pillow sets that feature (one of my favourite details) white grosgrain ribbon trims. They will also be making sumptuous vintage style bedspreads and plump silk cushions. One of which I was lucky enough to receive as a gift!
I adore vintage dresses and can’t think of a better way to fit them in to a modern life. I don’t have a picture (forgot my own camera, duh) but one design is a bright colourful garland on a bright white background and I can’t wait to get my hands on a set in August when the full range and website will finally be launched.

M’mmm I’m not so sure… I defiantly prefer the Horrockes vintage dresses. Why is it when vintage designs are translated onto modern things the first thing the designers loose is that old faded soft look that made us like the things in the first place…..moaning over with… I do nearly like the cushion..but I am so glad you had a lovely day it sounds fabulous and the flowers look stunning, as do the pictures xxx
