Views of MouseholeNot my holiday snaps from Ireland, I will be back with some of those later! With views over this picture postcard town and the deep blue glistening sea, it is easy to see why this is a place I would love to stay. The Cuttlefish Mousehole is a beautifully decorated house with a hidden garden that has views over this pretty ‘picturesque hamlet’ in Cornwall. I am coveting the vintage style fridge freezer the most, is that mad?Vintage fridgeBeautiful pale kitchenPurchased in October 2012 by Camilla Banks and her partner Chris, work started on the property in January 2013 and was finished that same September – luckily before last years hideous weather started up. The majority of the work was done by the couple, with a local builder Sean Mitchell to do all the ‘serious work’ like removing structural pillars, repointing the exterior and knocking down walls etc… a sympathetic perfectionist, he understood just what they wanted as he lived in an almost identical house in the neighbouring town of Newlyn!Antique chic living roomAntique chic living roomTranquil rooms and gathered antiques make this holiday rental feel more than homely. The bathroom and bedrooms are pale and restful, while the kitchen and lounge are filled with lovely details. I am always saying we need to see more of Great Britain so this house and town has flown straight to the top of our list for a UK break. If you want to check if the cuttlefish is free for your next holiday, take a peek at the calendar here. Back soon with some pics from my recent visit to Ireland xThe Cuttlefish Mousehole

  • It is lovely, a super conversion but oh my soooo expensive. Mousehole is just gorgeous and cute, we stayed at the Porth en alls on Prussia Cove, just down the road, a few years ago, just love that part of Cornwall.
