Liberty Fabric craftDon’t worry I haven’t gone completely mid century modern and forgotten my fascination with florals and all things pretty. While the grey clouds gathered outside my windows today, I had a rummage through my bowl of Liberty fabric to find some pieces that would be the right size to make colourful rain drops. I have seen lots of cloud mobiles on Pinterest and Etsy recently, and with so much rain in this country I thought it would be fun to create a happier version of a what seems to be eternally outside my window this week, using these pretty salvaged fabric scraps and a vintage linen tea towel.Blush Pink Mood Board InspirationAround the rest of my work studio – which is still just a corner of a very cluttered and untidy living room – I have been putting together lots of inspiration boards. The start of a new year is always a kick up the butt and I am enjoying this new burst of creative motivation. How is your January going? Are you rushing about or embracing the slower pace of life that can be truly appreciated during the hibernation months? xFloral vintage tins

This is super adorable! I get what you mean by seeing it all over recently! There’s so much places with homeware with rain/clouds all over them. And I also seen the bloggers- Young House Couple- decorate part of the daughters bedroom with them too. But I have to admit it looked super cute!
