I have so many beautiful books that I have picked up lately to share with you, but this one jumped to the top of the pile after I fell in love with the stunning photography and beautiful layout. It does also have a cat (which made my day)! House of Plants by Caro Langton & Rose Ray is all about green interiors and it’s as stunning inside as the cover suggests.Greens in every shade, from pastel turquoise air plants to deep forest leafed ferns adorn the pages. Simple projects, styling ideas and advice from making your own fertilizer to taking care of tricky indoor plants are all covered inside.Dream decor for plant lovers and interior obsessives alike, it will make you want a house full – even if you have previously been a plant murderer. You might also be pleased to discover (as I was) the marvelous illustrations of Alicia Galer on lots of the dividing pages too.An indoor desert is top of my DIY wishlist, we have so many unusual little plants around here, and they would look great all huddled together like this in a sandy wooden bowl. Below a dinner table dressed for a botanical loving gathering. Pair mismatched chairs and simple linen with bread wine and plants – an ideal rustic setting. There is so much more to see inside, so I’d recommend you go grab a copy asap – this one is a true beauty. House of Plants by Caro Langton & Rose Ray is published by Frances Lincoln (£20). All photography © Erika Raxworthy.
