Visual ContrastThere was a promise of 20°C today, and it is more grey and overcast then ever with a chilly breeze! So, may I suggest another beautiful book for reading? Visual Contrast by Tim Rundle is a colourful, practical book with some of the most striking images I have seen for ages. Pages that will guide you through mixing things that compliment each other, unusual pairings and assemblage that create some remarkable room styling.

‘In this exciting new book, traveler, collector, and curator Tim Rundle reveals how to use visual trickery and effects to bring out the best in what you already own. Tim defines the four key aspects of visual contrast—shape, color, placement, and personality—and shows how these seemingly abstract concepts can be used to breathe new life into familiar spaces and objects.’

This book has made me curious about colours I would never think of using, Red with Teal, Sky Blue, Lime Green. I wonder if that office makeover will get a bright colour injection after all? Happy weekend x

Visual Contrast by Time Rundle is published by Ryland Peters & Small at £25.00 and is available from
