THINGS TO TRY AND DIYS AUGUST EDITIONYesterday I was on kitty lockdown in the lounge, while the builders tore out our old front door and replaced it with a new one that a mouse can’t just crawl under with all it’s worldly possessions, while the north wind whistles through without apology.

So I spent the afternoon in my sofa camp, looking for lovely things to share from around the blog world. Here are five things to try in August.

1. Vintage Blanket collaged vase, with a plastic bottle inside to hold the water for your favourite foliage, made by Jane Schouten of All The Luck In The World.

2. Sugary sweet fun without the calories – Cotton candy garland DIY by Oh Happy Day.

3. Tissue paper flower tutorial with gold dipped paper garland- From Issue 1 of BY FRYD by Jeanette Lunde.

4. There should be just enough time to fit in a Rhubarb Mojito by Not Without Salt.

5. Home baked crunch in half an hour – Maple Granola Recipe from A House in the Hills. Already made and loved!
