Today I am excited to show you my new desk buddy – the Sprout by HP. I don’t like to get out of my comfort zone very often but when I saw what this new computer could do, my creative mind started bubbling and I gave my evenings over to figuring out how to use it! My nights have been filled with lots of cupboard foraging, gathering, scanning and layering. Having previously owned a scanner that refused to scan – EVER. I am pleasantly surprised at the speed and way this machine captures images. I must stop calling it – machine – as now it holds so many of my memories in image form, it’s kind of like a friend.
To get started, the Sprout and I have become acquainted with some scanning experiments using all kinds of objects from all around the house. I have pretty much scanned in anything and everything – from pinecones to the husbands Lunch (that image got deleted btw). The magical Sprout Illuminator combines a scanner, depth sensor, hi res camera, and projector all in one.
If you have known me since my ‘Record the Day‘ blog days, you will know I am mad for collage and image layering – so I hope you will pop in and join me on my creative exploits with the Sprout over the coming weeks. Next stop – build something!
This post is a creative collaboration with HP. They loaned me the Sprout – I’m doing the rest! :)
Wow! That looks super cool. Imagine all the things you can make. Can see why it’s had your creative brain whirring… x
Just trying to turn it in to something that looks beautiful now! :)
This looks brilliant and I can’t wait to see what you do with it – I know it will be all the amazing. I love it when technology encourages creativity rather than inhibiting it. xx
