As I pack my bags for a trip to Ireland to swaddle my new nephew, I must confess April has been a blur! A pretty blur of flowers, blossom, travels across the sea and county, beautiful gardens, coastal treasure hunting with new friends and trying to take a few minutes here and there to slow down. We have lots of projects on the go that can’t be properly shared yet but here are some snippets for now.
I spent a gorgeous morning pampered in the beautiful A.S apothecary shop in Lewis with Ellie and Amanda. Somewhere I have been meaning to get to, ever since it opened earlier this year. I have lovely images of the interior, some word about the facial I had and I’ll share what I bought in my next post, when I am back on Friday next week – but for now here is a snippet above of the botanical happiness I discovered there.
A step decorated with magical toadflax, I love this stuff, don’t you?! Apparently the clever stuff flings its seeds super far into the tiniest cracks to grow up walls and steps. I must get some for all the weird and wonderful corners of our garden.
This month really has had a theme of botanicals – photo shoots, pressed flowers in the post, organic beauty products bought and books like this one – that I received in the post. A surprise gift from the lovely folk we have been working with at Kyle Books. I cannot wait to creat some healing brews from all the amazing things we call weeds in our garden. I Will keep you posted on that! :)
Coastal paths and hedgerow foraging with the lovely Chloe on the Isle of Wight.
Seeing my first cow parsley blooms was such a delight, and now their frothy heads are bobbing about all along the roads and paths everywhere.
Our blossom tree has finally bloomed for the first time in three springs, so I captured some of it inside my glass display dome from Cox & Cox on our studio table. I’ve been obsessed with these things since that scene in Beauty and the Beast when the enchanted rose is placed inside one! Bye for now, enjoy all that greenery coming to life outside your windows I’ll be back at the end of next week! x
Such beautiful spring flowers and details! It’s always a great way to cheer up a room by adding in fresh florals! Certainly paying attention to these little things in a home is a great way to decorate it and make it your own perfect style!
