It’s almost that time again, daffodils will be bobbing their cheery yellow heads in the breeze, trees will be dusted with pretty blossoms and garden birds will be busy building nests for their young. The Country Living Spring Fair is a celebration of all things Spring and packed with simple pleasures, things to make, cakes to bake, talents to nurture and magic to grow in your garden. Keep reading for more details and the chance to win one of two pairs of tickets to the fair that’s on from the 18th – 22nd of March 2015 in Islington, London!
If you are just about ready to crawl out of your winter bunker and leap into Spring, the show isn’t all about shopping, this year you can enjoy panel discussions and lifestyle tips in the Country Living Theatre, try out Green & Black’s 20 unique flavours of chocolate or sip bubbles in the champagne bar.
If you feel like letting your creative side loose, sign up to spend an hour or two in the Craft & Create Rooms – where Hilary Jane will show you how to make a Keepsake Heart using scraps of fabric and simple stitching or you could make a delightful little lavender filled house for your wardrobe whilst refreshing your sewing skills with Sarah from CoolCrafting – you can see the full line up of things to create in the Craft & Create rooms here.
If you’re a Country Living subscriber there is a unique opportunity to meet editor Susy Smith and her team at an exclusive event to celebrate CL’s 30th birthday. Visit the Fair on Friday 20 March and combine a day of shopping and crafting with a delicious afternoon tea in the CL Restaurant at 4.30 pm. Raise a glass of champagne and help blow the candles out on the special birthday cake designed by Jane Asher. As a guest you will also take home a goody bag filled with special gifts!
Along with everything you need to decorate and welcome Spring inside your home, you will find inspiring ideas for sprucing up your garden and outdoor spaces for entertaining too. I can’t wait to finish off our garden and invite people over to relax outside with some freshly made iced tea and scones.
I have picked out some lovely homewares from my favourite exhibiters below, I am so excited to see the amazing Namolio has a stand and the lovely Susan Cropper’s (Susan also runs the amazing shop Loop in London) new store Swoon Lounge will be there too! To find out more about my favourites and their website pages click the links 1 Becky Bettesworth, 2 Swoon Lounge, 3 Ashley Thomas, 4 Nathalie Bond, 5 Gabrielle Vary, 6 Anjo Home, 7 Forever England, 8 Namolio, 9 The Contemporary Home.
Finally, keep your eyes peeled for these little sweeties below. Whilst learning about lamb farming you can meet and feed some Spring lambs – but please don’t slip any of them in your Easter baskets!
The lovely peeps over at Country Living have given me two pairs of tickets to give away so for a chance to win a set and a day of Spring fun at the fair – leave a comment at the bottom of this post!
