indigo and denim by SidelineHello Thursday people! Today I wanted to share a recent discovery with you, found via the winding paths that Instagram takes us on – via the lovely Emma of A quiet Style, I have been introduced to – SIDELINE, a womenswear label of made up of special pieces crafted in woven and stitched indigo fabrics, designed by East Sussex based Ellen Brookes, a denim specialist and trend consultant.Indigo dyed clothing by SidelineUnderstated design and subtle detailing are at the core of this new womenswear label and this is a collection of everyday clothing that looks and feels very special. Inspired by the woman who is effortlessly stylish, but timeless in her way of dressing, the collection has been created to be wearable every day, while being special enough to be cherished.

The emphasis of this simple but detailed label takes its cue from the fabric it’s crafted in. Indigo improves with time, so the pieces in this collections are designed to be worn in all seasons and unaffected by trends. Each is created towards a look that is the base of any wardrobe – to be returned to, worn, and loved again and again.Indigo dyed fashionSIDELINE’s first collection launches this Spring/Summer 15, with distinctive everyday separates, including relaxed shirting, easy day dresses, embroidered skirts and soft lightweight trousers. You will be able to find these pieces in independent stores (see a list here) from February 2015 including – Our Daily Edit in Brighton and one of my favourite shops – Flint in Lewes.

Every collection that follows will share SIDELINE’s signature look of clean lines, embroidery, understated print, and quilting. Keep your eyes peeled as there will also be seasonal updates to pieces that stand to become classics for the brand. I know February seems a while away yet, but I will give you a heads up nearer the time, as I am sure you will want to see these beautiful garments for yourself and I cannot wait for the collection to launch!!Indigo dyed clothing by Sideline
