Day 29, the extra one, for my last box of the challenge I have chosen the theme ‘cabinet of curiosities’. The outside of the box is decorated with a collage of paper prints, labels and ink stamping. Made to look like an old specimen box, inspired by the tales of Gerald Durrell in his book-My Family and Other Animals, where he collects all manner of creatures for his research as a child. Inside the drawer is painted the colour of mahogany and a glitter headed pin secures a paper moth with it’s specimen number. Listed now xI just want to say thanks again to everybody who has taken part, bought one of my matchboxes, tweeted or posted about the challenge. It means so much to my husband and I, and you have helped us raise this money for charity as all proceeds of these sales will be donated to Oxfam as fundraising for my Husbands entry to the London marathon this April x.A little apology as in some of my listings I put the marathon down as being in March, but it is the 22nd of April 2012 x
