Happy Friday! I get asked quite often where the giant pom pom wall hanging in my Tea Shed is from. So I thought I’d share a few more pictures from that weekend last summer when my hand seized up from winding a pom-pom maker and I was up to my ears in wool fibres! I saw the amazing tutorial by Lisa Tilse over on We are Scout, and knew I had to make something similar.
For my version, I added an extra row of poms and a different fringe. But do skip over to We are Scout for the full making guide, as my pics are just a few snaps of my beloved wool collection (some store bought, some hand dyed by me, and some blended and hand spun by my mum), the finished piece and a vague gist of how it’s put together!
My favourite part was making the simple fringe. You will need quite the wool haul to make one of this size, luckily boot fair season is almost here! I might make a teeny baby one next. Happy Making ;)
