Harlequin trendsetter boardInspired by this Manhattan loft apartment designed by Len Morgan and featured over at Elle Decor, I have put together this inspiration board for the Harlequin London Trendsetter competition.

I thought such a simple space would warrant luxury accessories and modern lighting in wood and glass with a warm twist of colour to stop the huge open space feeling too cold. Mismatched glassware of fine cut crystal and porcelain dipped in gold, pearly caramel plates alongside Tortoiseshell Cutlery. Dark amber glass vases for soft foliage and flowers, and chunky cut glass candle holders to give off subtle glinting flickers of light. Finally a Leather strap framed mirror for reflecting light and to add interest. Luxurious objects all beautiful and useful in a modern open plan setting, all the things I would love to create a welcoming setting for guests if I was to ever find myself living in a NYC loft!

Ceiling pendents, table lamps and mirror – Skandium, Candle holder – Cub-ar, Vase, cake stand and plate – Ivvnet, Decanter and tumblers – Hermes, Gold dipped Tumblers – Sieger, Cutlery – Nina Campbell.
