Sorry I’ve been away so long, a hectic week, the husband was away, I have been cleaning and re-aranging for a photo shoot yesterday where our house was the star this time (will be sharing where it’s featured soon!) and I had a well earned Saturday date with my sister. So here are the promised last images of Joyce’s house, fingers crossed after all the interest, her home will be featured in a magazine soon so I will let you know when you can get your creative hands on a copy. These pictures above and one below are of the guest rooms in the converted attic, all shabby chic with pale florals and crisp white sheets, carefully selected old books and painted furniture ensure a comfortable and cosy stay.Posy’s of hydrangeas are scattered around each room in lovely textured ceramics and old tins, below in the bathroom another collection of antiques huddle together in perfect harmony and the frame pattern wallpaper awaits it’s planned embellishment of vintage images and family photos.Lavender enhances the view from the kitchen window out over the rooftops, and a cushion of cream canvas printed with raspberry pink jellies and grey pigeons from Thornback and Peele guides you out into a courtyard garden, furnished with worn green painted chairs and bright floral cushions, which much to the horror of her friends. Joyce likes to leave out in the garden to fade and get that time worn look.Below a close up of the kitchen chandelier shows the delicate wirework, beading and recycled glass and finally a sleeping kitty tells me it’s time to leave this beautiful house and get home to my own little tigers.
