It has been a hive of activity here the last few weeks, hence my temporarily abandoned page. We have been to Texas, started the garden overhaul, visited inspiring friends and been designing our outdoor space – while the sun is out. I have so many pictures to share, tons of photos waiting patiently to be slotted into posts. While I get organised behind the scenes, I thought I’d share this beautiful and calming new interiors book – This is Home by Natalie Walton. The pages are filled with homes that use a delicate palette and natural materials. If you love soft textures and rustic details, this is a must-have book to keep close by. For light bright spring and summer interior inspiration and ideas to get cosier throughout the seasons.Dreamy spaces and ideas to build on, the chapters include lovely Q&A’s with the homeowners and great advice for creating a balanced and soothing home. Travel from the UK to France, Italy, The Netherlands, Morocco, the USA and Australia, following the light in all four corners of the globe to peek inside some truly inspiring homes with heart and soul. Simple beauty and thoughtful placement decorate every page. The beautiful photography by Chris Warnes makes me want to step into the images and see every inch of the rooms captured. With hints of green in spaces that are indoors and out, this book is my new favourite to keep leafing through. Now I am going to dash off for another day out in the sun, making the most of the good weather while we have it, in the meantime I hope you’ll enjoy – This is Home – as much as I do. Have a magical weekend! xThis is Home by Natalie Walton (Hardie Grant, £30) Photography © Chris Warnes.
