Sometimes, like everyone, I struggle to get going on the first day of the working week. So I decided it was time for some Monday inspiration, my first post each week will be a collection of all the things that inspired and made me happy the week before.
A trip to Ladurée in Covent Garden to meet the lovely Natasha from Candy Pop. I had a pot of their indulgent hot chocolate, and got to try the cake I have swooned over so many times – the Rose Petal and Raspberry Religieuse. A pink iced treat of cream puff pastry, rose petal custard cream and raspberries.
From the yummy candy coloured perfection of each individual macaron to the exquisite packaging, I just love every inch of the tiny pastel heaven that is Ladurée. I am determined to get there for a full afternoon tea on my birthday next year!
After a couple more tea stops, Natasha and I made our way over to the Laura Ashley Christmas craft evening, where I swooned over sparkles, winter clothes, twinkling lights, cakes and festive home decor.
Check out the glitter on this table cloth, I had to put down my glass of fizz to admire it’s sparkle, and while I was there, had a catch up with Tory Jane and make a floral crown.
Inspired by all the pastel joy from my visit to Ladurée. I finally finished the last of my vintage lace archives. And just in time, as the very next day a super sweet someone form America emailed me and asked for one!
This little lady was a complete devil – climbing up things and then slashing my hands to bits when I told her to get down, growling and swiping at poor little Wallis and then jumping in on photo shoots for the store, but here she is above – the picture of innocence.
My new favourite scent for the bedroom Christy number 3, discovered when I added it to my bedside for an Autumn bedroom makeover last Friday, and a quick snap of a beautiful vintage tutu spotted in Butlers Emporium yesterday.
this is lovely Jeska! :)
Thank you! I always need a Monday cheer up! :)
A lovely idea for a Monday morning, I think we could all do with remembering the things that make us happy on a cold, wet Monday! I also didn’t know Laduree had a café, afternoon tea would be the perfect pressie for mum, so thanks for the inspiration!
Oh, you should definitely take your mum there Hollie, you can sit upstairs on the outdoor terrace if it’s sunny!
Ooh that sounds perfect!
