A few calming pictures from a bustling November. There is no such thing as ‘Slow Living’ here. But we do take slow moments. A couple each day keeps us mostly calm and collected in amongst the mayhem of running our own small business.
Being my own boss means longer hours but mini breaks whenever possible, just the way I like it. I may work until 10 pm some nights but on other days I can watch a film at 11 am nestled up with a cat. These photos are a few collected moments of calm and magic from November so far. Sparkly joy – our first festive decoration is up, a banner by Katie Housley.
Handmade ceramics slowly making their way towards our half-finished kitchen. We just need some shelves to put them on and cupboards to hide things in now.
Still pouring over the pages of the beautiful and detailed interiors book – The Maverick Soul by Miv Watts & Hugh Stewart.
Sunny office mornings, the light floods in, golden and warming on chilly feet.
Our friend’s noisy neighbours.
Still life days at Turning Earth Ceramic studio. Dried flowers and pots curing, I love coming to this place to collect ceramics for the shop. So much diverse creativity everywhere.
Visiting with friends tall and small, Malcolm the cat being the ‘small’ (below) is one of my favourite magical beings on this planet.
Windowsill bottle gardens created by my lovely gardening friend Liz, she has a brilliant stylish eye and is much too modest by far about her gardening accomplishments edible and not.
Last but not least – wintery light below on a drive across London. Coming up next my winter gift guides, I never managed to get any made last year, so I am very excited about creating these – keep them peeled! :) x
