September weekends are filled with my favourite type of small scale exploring. Window peeping, garden watching, allotment wandering and hedgerow foraging.
The magic of the glittering autumn sea as the landscape around it takes on a new colour.
Tracking down the last of the sloes for a photo shoot and exploring local handmade landmarks.
Getting new things up in store and making new friends (below).
Taking in the historical details and shafts of light at the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum. This place is a must if you love to learn about the history of houses and living situations in the UK and like poking around in cupboards and medieval gardens, or learning how to cook on an open fire. Meeting pigs, geese, shire horses and cows along the way.
A tiny, two up two down cottage filled with antique treasures.
Playing with this gorgeous creature who visits our friends in their garden every day.
Vegetable and foliage masterpieces at the allotment, a tangle of leaves, fruits and flowers.
We found the biggest sunflower head we’d ever seen. The birds will have a field day with that!
Then lots of down time with our own sleepy girls at home. Happy new week to you. Enjoy Autumn equinox xxx
