Hello! Happy new week to you. Finally, I have got myself together to resume some sort of regular posting here! Wowee November and December were a joyful blur of wrapping paper, string and boxes coming in and going out of our little store. It took us two weeks of relaxation and fresh Irish air to calm down, (and catch up on some sleep). We were so sleepy – we woke up at 11 am on Christmas day. Who does that?! More on our Ireland trip in my next post. For now, some picture postcards from the weekend.
We ran off on a mini date – a whole eight miles away to Rye to have brunch at a new cafe – The Fig and what a lovely spot?! We sat by the back windows and watched birds flying by and chimneys smoking for an hour or so while enjoying something to eat and drink.
Later, we wandered around some of our favourite East Sussex streets. Peeping in windows at paintings, swooning over the lean-to (top) and catching glimpses of the sun behind the bell and church towers.
A visit to Merchant and Mills before we headed home, had me walking out with some beautiful fabric and a pattern for their Camber Set . Hopefully, I can share my progress with making that soon as I did manage to cut out all the pattern pieces today, without too much hindrance from Wallis – she does love a huge sheet of paper to play under! I hope you enjoyed these pictures from Rye – back soon xxx
Absolutely fell in love with Rye last Summer, we are contemplating coming back to Sussex in the van this year as we enjoyed it so much. Jx
