Hehe, the brush stealing photo made me laugh. I have three old tin trunks I’ve been wondering what to do with, and saw on the other day in a super expensive interiors shop painted like a canal boat and thought I’d never be able to do it, but I think the tutorial you shared will really help! Thank you! xxx

OMG I’m so excited about this technique. Just watched the video and can’t wait to have a go. As a painter I’ve never really nailed blending like that and turns out the secret is in the brush! Looks very satisfying and I’ll definitely be using it on my next fabric collection for Rowan: http://www.westminsterfabrics.com. You continue to inspire me :)

Those roses are so cool. Can’t wait to see how you’re going to use them. Also, that one pic of your little tiger eating the paint brush is priceless!

I associate the roses with canal barges too, but they feature in carfts in other countries too I have since found, which is nice, a kind of shared symbol. I have some things already painted like this and thought of trying to do it before. I think you may have inspired me to give it a try. Yours are so perfect though. What do you think about them on furniture?
