Summer style indoors here is going to be eclectic and mismatched as we try to finish our house renovation ready for the end of summer. Versatile pieces of furniture are most welcomed as we are always moving things (even when the house is not in disarray). Today’s photos share a few of the many ways in which a bench can be a happy thing to incorporate into a home.
The Kingsley bench is our new favourite piece of furniture, useful, solid and sturdy – it was kindly given to us by the folks at Sofa.com for a styling collaboration and permanent home here with us. I am over on their blog too today, sharing some simple summer styling ideas – come see!
Wallis, loves it obviously! Nothing gets in through the door without her inspection and footprints all over it – within seconds.
This is exactly what we have been looking for. I chose it from the dining collection. I didn’t realise that Sofa.com sold anything else but sofas and we already have an abundance of chairs, so this was the perfect discovery.
Beautifully designed and useful – it will be used as extra seating when friends come over to dine outside, a window seat with a view, a long coffee table or relaxed shelving for plants and more. Even my carpenter dad was impressed, a high complement indeed.
Its current incarnation is as an under window seat in the living room. Right next to the sofa it has become – end table, bookshelf and somewhere to sit all at once.
Wishing you another lovely sunny day, stay safe and don’t forget the sunscreen, water and a hat too! x
Hi! I love this bench! I have some crazy, inexpiable love for stools and benches. Looks great with your setup here. Did you get the quilted pad on top separately?
HI Anna, thanks so much! Me too! We have quite the stool collection haha! The bench pad is from S220 here – http://www.stwotwenty.com/shop/textiles/bench-pad-nude-edblad/ I think they only have one left in this lovely nude pink! I wish I’d got that one too! :) xxx
I hope to have a bench one day just like this but need to acquire a house first! Your nest is so cozy and beautiful (with or without a kitchen!) :)
Thanks lovely – It’s a solid beauty! I CANNOT wait to be able to cook dinner in an actual oven haha ;)
