Happy weekend yo you, I hope you have been having fun? We planned a garden attack today but the skies denied us with their greyness and icy chills. Cosy indoors mooning about the web I found these inspiring pictures of New York girls and their bicycles, all captured by photographer Sam Polcer. It made me want to unearth my old bike from the garage (I will have to climb over a bath and moth eaten sofa to get even close to it). The poor thing has been buried in there since my almost fatal cycling debut in Amsterdam last summer! These cool ladies have inspired me to get peddling, and I am just about feeling brave enough to hop back on the saddle.New York City is getting more and more bike-friendly, so Sam decided to cycle his own bike around New York’s five boroughs and put together this collection of photos that reflect the different demographics of cyclists in the sprawling city. Each image is captioned with the subject’s name, what kind of bike they ride, where the photo was taken, and where they’re headed. I love how different they all are, each of these ladies has such a unique look and different reason for owning a bike.
