This months Styling the Seasons post seemed to be the perfect excuse for me to share the awesome pillow cases I made at Heather and Bethan’s Shibori workshop. One of my highlights at Sisterhood camp, I couldn’t wait to get them washed, dried and on our bed.
For my June styling fun, I included this beautiful trailing plant that lovely Sarah-Lou gave me (if anyone knows the name of it I would love to know). It sits in the top of this junk shop find of a pot perfectly and makes a very happy sight to wake up to.
A pile of books I am currently reading make a nice platform for my favourite cat picture and a little pot for flowers. This beautiful foragers necklace was made by gorgeous jewellery maker Emma Mitchell and I found it on my plate at the Sisterhood dinner table. I have filled it with memories from that weekend – tiny gold stars – for my nightly view out of the pod up at the sky, a tiny dried head of cow parsley – like the hedgerows we passed so many times and some crystals for confidence, wellbeing, creativity, energy and clarity.
Another daily view it this furry butt and tail, that is nearly always facing me when I wake up, modelled today by the delightful wallis.
This is my latest collage of inspiration, summer things and favourite drawings, artists to remember and treasured postcards from the past.
I have really enjoyed sleeping on my handiwork these last few days and waking up to these thoughtful gifts from such beautiful people who’s paths have crossed mine, and I can’t wait to dye some more fabrics with magical unexpected outcomes soon. Watch this space!
