So, apart from being up to my eyeballs in deliveries and parcels, I’ve mostly been freaking out about what to wear to the Interior Blog Awards tomorrow waaaa, yes that’s the sound of me screaming up and down the hallway, wishing I could wear my favourite jeans and Toast sweater to a fancy hotel ‘do’, but I can’t!
To calm me down, I have been updating our desk area with some seasonal colour to take part in the ‘Styling the Seasons’ challenge organised by Charlotte of Lotts and Lots and Katy from Apartment Apothecary. October was all business, so I have made time to decorate our work space with some November golds and browns.I have de-cluttered – yep I love a pile of magazines or two and all the tons of craft materials hanging around, when they are not being used, drive the occupier on the other half of the desk mad. So for a few days we are all clean and clear!
Autumn golds, browns and greens are dotted around with my favourite paintings and mini artworks, and I have rescued our vintage storm lantern from the back garden as I don’t think it will survive another winter of heavy rain and gales.
Up on the shelf above my head, a treasured black and white picture of my Granddad and Nanna, being snapped as they left for their honeymoon.
And some fairy lights add a little twinkle at the end of each day now it is so dark.
Are you taking part this month? Happy styling!
Such a beautiful and unique workspace – I love it, Jeska. You many wonderful collectibles (and that photo of your grandparents going on honeymoon is amazing!) and a lovely Autumnal palette. So look forward to meeting you tonight and seeing you on Sunday Yay! Xx
Thanks Katy, a little dark what with all the grey cloud and a north facing room! xxx Can’t wait for tonight!
Love this space Jeska, it looks so calming. That photograph of your grandparents is such a treasure, I wish I had something like that, so precious! I love the storm lantern as well, it’s a fab colour. x
I love the colour palette you have chosen! Soft golds and browns look so warming and lovely together. I’m really excited about #stylingtheseasons and have taken part for the first time this month – really enjoyed it!
