SUNDAY WALKING

Sorry I haven’t been around the last few days, I have been feeling sorry for myself with a painful lower back, pulled years ago (too much heavy lifting, over exertion, and possibly/definitely some drunken stumbling thrown in) but it’s currently having a nasty revival that is not fun. Today after a couple of days rest I can walk normally and am looking forward to feeling more spritely next week. This morning we grabbed a couple of hot chocolates and walked along the beach, I always prefer it at this time of year with no sun bathers, and rougher tides. Then we headed inland to walk along a few of our favourite streets and see what properties were for sale, on our way meeting a few Sunday cats, and seeing some lovely bright lavender still battling against the oncoming cold weather. We popped into the shop to pick up a new Folk chopping board and see my lovely Friend Emma who gave me this beautiful crocheted string hanging basket, (click the link for the pattern) with a tiny sprig of heather in it. Thank you Emma xNow cosy after a refreshing walk over the blustery hill to home, with two snoozing tigers and a plate of bread and cheese. The great thing about a busy weekend Old Townthe bakery and cheese shop are both open on Sunday! What are your favourite lazy Sunday eats?

My boyfriend makes homemade bread on Sundays – the smell of it fills the house, it’s gorgeous. Buttered while it was still warm from the oven and a cuppa tea was very comforting whilst I was feeling a wee bit sorry for myself today too as I woke up with a head cold… meh.

Hope you are feeling better soon! That little basket is just gorgeous xx

I might ask her to make me a few more and hang them all in a row on the wall, I think that would look sweet, no? x

I love the visual of “Sunday cats”. In fact, this entire post is filled with lovely visuals! I suddenly want fresh-baked bread and a tiny sprig of heather. :)
