Old photographs I have been collecting for years have found new homes, inside these tiny glitter and twig decorated glass worlds. I have been meaning to make something like this for so long and this year I have been lucky enough to find time to get a few creative projects finished. I love imagining stories for each of the little people inside. Captured on film forever but separated from their original family archives, now living on to be loved by someone new.
I am fascinated by black and white photos and finally decided to part with some, it wasn’t easy, but I am so happy that they will be hanging in peoples homes at christmas time, and maybe throughout the year?
So many mischievous children were discovered as I dug through, I just adore the little boy with the bobble hat above in the third set of images. Their old fashioned clothes just right for a pair of fairy wings and some shimmering miniature trees. What have you been making this december? x
Jeska, you make the most amazing and lovely things! I’ve been loving all of your recent blog posts. SO beautiful! I could just gaze at the things you have around your house all day long.
Beautiful, will be digging out some of my old photos and making these – but maybe next year.
Jeska, this inspired me to make mini-shodow boxes featuring black and white photos of my children. Lovely. Yours is the only blog I consistently read anymore. Thank you for the inspiration!
