Short, sweet and floral!! This post is all about my top five favourite Paris flowers shops. Some suggested by lovely peeps on IG and some discovered on our ten mile a day walks of the city. If you have a favourite of you own please do share it with me in the comment section! xxx
Number 1 – Bleuet Coquelicot
10, Rue de la Grange aux Belles
Closed on Mondays.
This shop was all me, and my official favourite! It made me sad that we weren’t driving home with a boot full of green. From the jumble of colours and plants piled up on tables and stools outside, to the dusky blue exterior and tiled floors inside. The interior was thoughtfully hand built by the resourceful owner Tom, using items he has collected over the years, taking two and a half months to complete. Although I have a feeling it will never be ‘finished’ as the space is grows and changes with the seasons. I first spied this shop over on From Moon to Moon when Gabi shared it, and knew I had to find it. I could have stayed all day taking pictures and wanted to move right in, so I could hear the trickling water feature every evening.
Number 2 – Green Factory
17 rue Lucien Sampaix
Wednesday to Saturday from 11:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11:30 to 6:30 p.m.
We stumbled on this one totally by accident as it was next door to a restaurant we had been eating in, only to discover that it was on our visit wish list – as suggested by the lovely Cate St Hill. This beautiful little shop is fresh clean and bright. Jars of green magic are carefully curated by the owner Noam. It comes as no surprise that Noam is total a green enthusiast. Each plant creation he makes for Green Factory is assembled by hand and consists of a miniature tree overlooking a small world under glass, these true ecosystems can flourish with as little as four waterings per year. So even the plant fearing can take up the challenge and add a little jar of nature to their homes. Yes I wanted them all. Yes I will be going back with a car. Yes yes yes I am besotted with this shop.
Number 3 – L’Arrosoir
102 Rue Saint Maur.
Shared with me by my Instagram friend and stylist Hans Blomquist, this opulent shop it stacked floor to ceiling with the finest blooms. A stylist heaven, the friendly staff are on hand to help you pick the perfect flowers for any occasion. From tiny concrete pots to giant stone urns, vases and glass jars, this shop is magical. In the back there are beautiful baby pot plants and overhead everything twinkles with the light from the chandeliers covering the ceiling.
Number 4 – Vertige Marais
11, Rue de Sévigné
Open daily from: 11.00-19.30
In the heart of the Marais, just around the corner from Place des Vosges, we found this pretty shop spilling its ivy and spring shrubs over the pavement. Tucked down a side street, the bright orange and lush green window display caught my eye, and we loved the birch plant pots used for display and sale on the street. Inside branches of blossom stood tall overhead, and all kinds of plant magic was happening.
Number 5
Flower.fr – La Boutique des Saints-Peres and a second shop at 39 Rue de Babylone.
14 rue des Saints-Peres – Monday to Saturday 10 am-21h. 11h-20h Sunday
This beauty was the first flower shop that stopped me in my tracks on the day we arrived. A theme of green and white was displayed in the windows with vintage finds and out on the pavement – glossy leaved hydrangeas with their pale flower crowns coming in to bloom, baskets planted up with mixed herbs and pots of sweet scented jasmine and lavender.
Discovering those shops must have been exciting. When I discover new plant shops it’s like a kid in a candy store for me. The shops are so beautiful. Never been to these shops but my favorite is number 2 from the looks of what they have inside.
Thank you, add them to your Paris wishlist Barbara! ;) I wanted to box all five up and bring them back to the UK x
