So much green excitement this month. The UJB’s have set a fun theme for September – to take a #plantselfie and they have a book out (more about that later)! I was a bit scared at first as I really do not relish having my photo taken. But you only live once, so I thought I’d have a crazy Monday.
What a way to spend your Monday lunchtime – swimming in plants. I do feel under siege from all my green babies, some days – as there are so many of them to take care of. Feeding and watering time is madness here, with watering cans everywhere – I usually end up with water in my clogs!
I can’t go anywhere where they are selling plants without bringing a new kind home. I find them all so fascinating and magical. Luckily so does Dean, although that now means our troubles are doubled as we come back from most trips with a plant each.
I adore each and every one and am very protective over them, easily riled if they come under attack from pests or disease. I love learning about the conditions and original habitats they come from and have lots of fun propagating new plants to give away – when I can eventually part with them. I love taking part in these monthly posts, it’s so much fun imagining new ways to display and have fun with nature.
So – even more exciting planty news! Our lovely jungle hosts Igor and Judith – have their first book out now and we have it ready for pre-order over at the store. Dean, I and our plant gang were photographed for the book back in February by Lina – I think our menagerie has doubled since then! We are so grateful, happy and excited to be featured!
It was a wintery weekend but we had a lovely couple of days with the gorgeous Judith, Lina and Igor in our home eating cinnamon buns, drinking coffee and styling plants! Jump over and visit the whole UJB’s gang for more inspiring botanical fun and a new theme each month xxx
